Happy Tree Weaving Kit

This is a weaving loom kit with a difference! Learn to weave your very own wallhanging of a tree using a selection of fair trade, hand dyed yarns: a great introduction to freeform tapestry weaving. Once finished, your weaving loom becomes a frame to hang on the wall and admire.

Each kit includes:

• Original rustic wildwoven 'art loom' - 22cm x 31.5cm / 8.7" x 12.4" (measurements are approximate - actual loom size may vary by a few millimetres)
• Selection of hand-dyed weaving yarns

Please note: the yarns in these kits are hand-dyed in very small batches so precise colours may differ from those shown.

SKILL LEVEL: CONFIDENT BEGINNER - INTERMEDIATE.
This craft kit includes detailed instructions with explanatory photographs. It is perfectly within the capabilities of a confident beginner, but it can be a little fiddly in places so it does require patience and a willingness to follow detailed instructions! As a guide, expect to take at least 6 hours to complete the project.

I learnt this style of tapestry weaving in Chile, where I work with rural women to produce my own range of handspun weaving yarns and kits. The weaving looms are made by my husband, David, at home on our smallholding in mid-Wales. Whenever possible he uses scrap timber, stained and finished with a light wax coating.
