Pompom Yarn - Magenta/Teal

These pom poms have been spun into a yarn by skilled artisans from central Chile. The pompoms are then hand-dyed in small batches to create a kaleidoscope of colour. The women work at home, producing woollen goods to supplement their family income.

• meterage (approx): 10-12m / 30'-34'
• 100% sheeps wool

Each pompom is approximately 2cm in diameter and the pompoms are spaced roughly 20cm apart along the yarn. The yarn itself is approximately DK/Light Worsted weight.

This is a truly rustic yarn, so please expect some variations in thickness and colour. I believe this enhances the unique beauty and texture of this hand produced item.

You can knit, crochet or weave with this yarn. Just add a few rows to a hat, scarf or cowl, or crochet them onto the edge of a shawl, cushion or blanket to add a touch of fun to whatever you are making.
Easy to knit with, you knit as normal, and when you come to a pompom simply push it to the front of your knitting.
The quantity supplied is generally sufficient to edge a shawl or small (baby) blanket. More than enough to adorn a hat or scarf, or to edge a cushion.

The pompoms also make a great garland to decorate your home. Hang up straight, or crochet into a chain. When crocheted, each skein will make a garland approximately 4 metres long.
